I have to say, this book was an absolute suprise. For those who read the previous book, they'll know that there's a giant war about to happen.
What would one expect to read in this book? A LOT of one on one action with the Rogues. But that was the first suprise. There's not as much Rogue action going on in this part of the series. They play more of an indirect role (a very important one, but still).
This isn't a bad thing because this book is still full of action, adventure, "omg WATCH OUT"-moments and so much more. I guess that if you read the book expecting to see this war blow up right away, you'll be disappointed. There's a complete story line, but like I said its more indirect.
Tess is by far one of my favourite characters ever. The fact that she's a vetranarian makes it all even better (yes I have a way too huge love for animals and it played right on the feels). But she's just so refreshing. Sometimes I feel like all the Heroines in the books I read come down to the same essential person but I can honestly say that Tess made my day.
Dante, oh god what can I say. I did not expect this! He's so sensetive and romantic! Not your usual conflicted feelings, bad ass, my way or the highway warrior. But he's still a badass when he has to be.
Oh and there's a dog (damn those feels!).
This books is an awesome, fresh, exciting, emotional, thrilling book. I presonally like this book more then the first one in the series. (Btw did I mention they're Aliens? Interesting theory right?) And it's made me warm for the rest of the books.
8.5/10 and oh so well deserved.
