Kerrelyn Sparks: The Vampire with the Dragon Tattoo Review

- May contain minor spoilers! -

So I finally had time to sit down and read a couple of books again. I have to say, I didn't know how much I'd missed it untill I realized that I'd read 5 books in 3 days... OOPS! Not that I mind, reading good books is so refreshing!

Anyway about the book...
This was the 14th book from the "Love at Stake" series. I've read every single one of them and I have to say, always such a huge suprise!
I keep forgetting how much we don't know the main character at all untill the book comes out, I mean yeah sure you know their main tasks in the book and often their job either at Romatech or at MacKay S&I - that is for the male character - but you don't know their past, what makes them who they are now and their personality.
For the female character (often but not always) you just don't know anything at all.

I was genuinely suprised by this book. In a good way. I feel that with every book Kerrelyn Sparks just gets better and better!
Dougal Kincaid was a lot hunkier then I thought he was (from the info about him in the pervious books) and he's SO romantic!! It was also very refreshing that Leah Chin (the female lead) knew about vampires even before she'd met Dougal which - ofcourse not saying that it didn't cause any "problems" forming a relationship - was realy exciting because it gives a way diffrent perspective!
The fact that we got to meet some new angels was just mind blowing awesome.. I just love them!
(Maybe next we'll get another angel falling in love with one of the hunky vamps?! I would so not be complaining!)

As far as the story goes, it fits perfectly in with the pervious books from the series. It was well written and I felt realy connected to the story as I was reading it, like i was there going through all of it with the vamps - yes i know, keep dreaming Marie, like that's ever going to happen.. But a girl can only dream and wish!! - and I cried my heart out. Oh yes dear readers, you're in for a heartbreak reading this book!

The only thing i had some trouble with was reminding all that had happened in previous books... 14 books is a lot to remember and I felt like I was missing some major Eurika-moments...

I seriously recommend this book to everyone who likes reading books about hunky supernaturals and love! Actually, just read the entire series, it's worth every second!
8/10 on this one!
